Dr. Gruss was raised in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School as valedictorian. She went to Brown University and graduated from the School of Medicine in 1977. She did her training in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1982, she returned with Dr. Eric Einstein, her husband, to Fairfield County and opened a practice in internal medicine and gastroenterology in Georgetown, Connecticut. In 2000, they merged with the practices of Dr. Alan Radin and Dr. Myra Skluth to form Arbor Medical Group, LLC. She now sees gastroenterology patients in all three of our offices located in Norwalk, Wilton and Georgetown.
Dr. Gruss is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. She sees patients for gastroenterology consultations and ongoing care with gastrointestinal diseases. Her interests are in colo-rectal cancer screening, gastro-esophageal reflux disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She is a member of the section of gastroenterology at Norwalk Hospital and is actively involved with the gastroenterology fellowship program as a clinical educator. She is secretary of the Connecticut State Medical Society and Chair of the Quality of Care Committee. She is Vice-Chair of the New England regional Comparative Effectiveness Research Public Advisory Council. She is an officer of the Women's Medical Association of Fairfield County. She has been listed in the Castle Connolly guide, Top Doctors: New York Metro Area since 1996. Her avocations include classical music and tennis.
